Pescara sporting director Daniele Delli Carri has promised signings and denied the reputed friction between him and the club President.

The Serie B champions lost their opening Serie A fixture 3-0 at home to Inter last night, a bruising return to the top flight after 19 years away.

However Delli Carri is not overly concerned, and not overly impressed by Inter either.

“Inter have four official matches in their legs and surely are more in sync than us, this is the only cause as to why I feared this encounter,” the former Delfini defender told Sky Sport Italia. “I think that in the end it will be Napoli that challenges Juve.”

The Stadio Adriatico outfit have already been very active on the transfer market, bringing in the likes of Vladimir Weiss, Mervan Celik and Jonathas, but according to Deli Carri they aren't finished yet.

“We will act in the last few days. The loss against Inter does not affect our actions because we have known for some time what we need.

“We are looking for a wing back. We want the best for Pescara”.

Delli Carri also ended speculation of ongoing tension between him and President Daniele Sebastiani.

“I don’t have any intention of leaving Pescara. There’s a strong report and there is great calm within the club.”
