After a proposed move for Manchester City’s Kolo Toure fell through earlier this week, Biancocelesti President Claudio Lotito has trained his sights on the Portuguese international, according to Il Messaggero.

Genoa centre back Andreas Granqvist had been on the cusp of a move to the capital club until talks broke down, so Cape Verde-born Rolando has now leapt to the front of the queue.

The 26-year-old has been chased by Milan and Roma throughout the summer, and is valued at €10m.
