Lazio opponents banned from Europe

FK Rabotnicki have been banned from Europe for a year after two of their players failed drugs tests in the Europa League play-off against Lazio.

The incident occurred on August 18, 2011, when the Biancocelesti ran out 6-0 winners at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

Milovan Petrovic and Dino Najdoski have been suspended for a year, while the Macedonian side’s medical staff members Darko Velcevski and Mihajlo Ivanovski were banned for three and two years respectively.

Rabotnicki have been suspended for one UEFA club competition for which they qualify during the next four seasons. This exclusion is suspended for four years, plus a €30,000 fine.
