Chievo director general Giovanni Sartori isn't ruling out a swoop for Fiorentina midfielder Andrea Lazzari.
“At the moment no...” Sartori responded when asked by Radio Blu if he had contacted the player's agent. “But in the last few days of the window we will move to conclude some business.”
A left footed flair player, Lazzari has played a bit part since moving to Florence last year.
His chances of becoming a regular have only decreased after the club's summer spending spree, which has left the 27-year-old in competition with the likes of Borja Valero, Alberto Aquilani, David Pizarro and Mati Fernandez for a place in the Viola midfield.
Sartori has watched his counterpart Daniele Prade's market moves with admiration.
“Fiorentina have moved very well,” he said. “Congratulations to Prade.”
