Erik Lamela admits Luis Enrique and Zdenek Zeman both use 4-3-3, but “there are differences, absolutely.”

The Argentine impressed in his first Serie A season at Roma, but is hoping to do even better under the all-attack tactician’s guidance.

“Zeman explains the movements to everyone and sometimes we don’t understand them straight away, but that’s only to be expected,” he said in a Press conference.

“He wants us to play right in front of the opposition goal so we can create danger for them.”

Although both Zeman and Luis Enrique use the 4-3-3 system, they have very different approaches to the tactics.

“There are differences, absolutely. The attack is more vertical than horizontal. Francesco Totti plays out wide sometimes, but he has the quality to play anywhere.

“I never felt too much pressure in my first season, but I do want to score and provide more assists for my teammates too.

“Can we win the Scudetto? Every team can. My objectives are the same as everyone else’s, as I want to have a good season and hopefully win.

“I have improved physically as a player, but above all tactically, as Italian football is much more tactical than what I’m used to. It’s a bit of a struggle.”
