It has been a so-far disruptive summer for the Rossoneri, with a number of experienced players leaving early on and then Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic both being sold to Paris Saint-Germain.

However, Allegri believes that it doesn’t mean his side won’t be pushing for the title come next May.

“Are we disadvantaged? I remember one summer ago it seemed that we were to dominate the League or that only Inter could possibly catch us,” reflected the tactician in the Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Instead it was Juventus, they were the ones we were running after and they ended the season unbeaten, so…”
