Goalkeeper Mariano Andujar has high hopes for Catania after returning from a loan spell. “The time has come to prove my worth.”
The shot-stopper spent last term in Argentina with Estudiantes, but is eager to finally make his mark in Serie A.
“I am starting from scratch,” he told La Repubblica. “After many misunderstandings, the time has come to prove my worth in Catania.”
It was an ugly split from the club, as Andujar had a blazing row in the locker room with then-director Pietro Lo Monaco.
“There were some discussions, but they will remain between us,” said the former Lazio man.
“Now I want to contribute to earning more than 50 points in the table, targeting something more than simple safety.”
