Newly promoted Pescara say they have already completed their objective of replacing Marco Verratti in the side.
The teenage playmaker has left the Serie A outfit after Paris Saint-Germain agreed to pay the club’s €12m asking price for him.
“How will we replace Verratti? We have already signed Juan Fernando Quintero,” President Daniele Sebastiani told Sky Sport Italia.
“He can play in that role and therefore he should be his replacement.”
The Colombian, also 19, has joined the Stadio Adriatico outfit from Atletico Nacional for a transfer fee or around €2.5m.
