“Professionally it was an unforgettable six weeks. I am pleased that I was appreciated by the Coach and my teammates, but now the objective is to continue the work at Bologna and confirm my place in the Azzurri side.

“In the meantime, I am at Bologna’s complete disposal and will do everything to help my team.”

The creative midfielder had been in a co-ownership agreement with Brescia, but Bologna bought him outright in a blind auction.

“We are fortunate enough to have one of the best Coaches in Italy in the form of Stefano Pioli. With him in charge, we can be confident, even if it’s a young squad and there’s a lot of work to do.

“I am happy at the extra responsibility, as I always enjoyed that positive pressure.”
