Sampdoria have declared their interest in taking Marcelo Estigarribia from Juventus, but face competition from Argentina, England and Spain.
“We need a wide man for the attacking trident,” Samp director of sport Pasquale Sensibile told Primocanale Sport.
“Estigarribia represents the characteristics of the type of player we are looking for.”
Juve are no longer involved in the Paraguayan’s future career choices, as they opted not to make his loan from Deportivo Maldonado permanent.
There are numerous reports of clubs interested in taking 24-year-old Estigarribia this season, including River Plate and Valencia.
