Emiliano Viviano’s dream return to home-town club Fiorentina finally looks to be advancing as a deal is agreed.

The shot-stopper is currently co-owned between Inter and Palermo and, whilst having only spent six months with the latter, is available on the market this summer.

Viviano has subsequently been continually linked with Fiorentina, the side he openly supports and where he spent part of his youth career developing at, but talks have taken a while to progress.

However, according to La Nazione, there is now a breakthrough in negotiations, with Inter agreeing today via fax to La Viola’s latest offer.

The Florentine outfit have reportedly proposed a 12-month loan deal for the 26-year-old, with an option inserted to then purchase Palermo’s 50 per cent of his registration for a fee of €5m come next summer.

Upon the Nerazzurri’s reported acceptance of this today, Fiorentina are expected to conclude terms of the transfer with the player within the next few days.
