Verratti waiting for bids

Pescara’s teenage sensation Marco Verratti has refused to rule out the possibility of moving to either Juventus or Paris-Saint Germain this summer.

The playmaker’s future has been the subject of much speculation, with Pescara initially willing to discuss a transfer before taking him off the market. PSG’s recent interest has re-ignited the saga.

“PSG? An agreement is still lacking,” Verratti told Sky Sport Italia.

“There is nothing concrete so I am resting and enjoying my holidays. A decision on my future will be made by Pescara – and PSG haven’t made them an offer yet.”

Juventus were linked with the 19-year-old earlier in the summer before Pescara claimed he wouldn’t be sold, but the French club’s emergence in the tug-of-war has given the Old Lady hope of landing their man.

“Will I reject Juve for PSG? I will make the right choice for Pescara, but when President Sebastiani gets an offer then we can talk.”

Sportsmediaset claim that PSG have already agreed a four-year deal with Verratti to pay the player €1.5m a season. The deal will be completed when the French outfit offer Pescara €14m, a fee that Juventus cannot compete with.
