“I’ll soon start to train on my own ahead of the new term,” the forward told Sky Sport Italia. “Then the serious work will start in pre-season when the squad meets up.

“It’ll be a long campaign, there will be the Champions League and therefore the hope that we can do well on all fronts.

“However, that means that we would be playing every three days and it certainly won’t be easy to do that.”

The 28-year-old scored four goals in 28 League games for the Old Lady during the last campaign.
