Cesare Prandelli hinted he could reconsider his future after Euro 2012, but CONI President Gianni Petrucci notes “there’s no reason for him to go.”

The Italy Coach has a contract until the 2014 World Cup and has won over the fans with his attractive style of football.

However, today Prandelli suggested he did “miss club football” and would evaluate his situation after the tournament.

“There’s no reason for him to go,” replied Petrucci, President of the Italian Olympic Committee.

“He has done well and has a contract, so why should he leave? I think Prandelli will stay.”

Petrucci is in Warsaw to sit in the stands for tonight’s Euro 2012 semi-final against Germany.

“When you represent a nation it is always a joy. I am relaxed about tonight, whatever happens.”
