Storari snubs Catania approach

Juventus ‘keeper Marco Storari is understood to have rejected the opportunity of a summer switch to Catania, reports are suggesting.

The Sicilian club apparently offered the custodian a four-year contract, worth €800,000 a season, as well as their No 1 shirt.

Storari is currently the second choice with the Italian champions behind Azzurri international Gigi Buffon.

The 35-year-old played in eight games across Serie A and the Coppa Italia for the Old Lady during 2011-12.

Catania are looking for a new No 1 given that they used four different men between the posts during the last campaign.

The Sicilian outfit could now make a move for Vicenza ‘keeper Alberto Frison. The latter is a 24-year-old with a past at Treviso, Genoa and Frosinone.
