Thiago Motta insists he is fully recovered and “ready if Cesare Prandelli wants me” to face England tonight.

The midfielder picked up a left thigh injury during training and was thought to be in doubt until Friday evening, but took part in yesterday’s session.

“I am 100 per cent recovered,” assured the Paris Saint-German star. “I am ready to play if Prandelli wants me.”

If the Brazilian-born ex-Inter man is not picked, then Riccardo Montolivo is expected to start in the Euro 2012 quarter-final.

“I really like playing in knockout rounds of tournaments. I’ve done it before and it gives you a real adrenaline rush.

“I am in good shape now, as I felt some pain and the medical staff reassured me, so I am ready. I can play behind the strikers and have taken this role many times before.”
