Matteo Brighi will return to Roma after his loan stint at Atalanta ended – but he won’t remain in the capital.
“He’ll go back to the Giallorossi, but he is not part of the club’s plans for the future,” agent Vanni Puzzolo told Sport Italia.
“We’ll know a bit more after the weekend, but for now, there are no other offers from any other clubs.”
The 31-year-old had his problems in Bergamo this term and ended the campaign with only 11 Serie A appearances – just eight from the start.
Brighi has been on Roma’s books since the summer of 2004 after he was included in the deal that saw Emerson move to Juventus.
He was loaned to Brescia and Chievo before making his first League appearance for the Giallorossi in 2007.
His contract at the Olimpico will expire in June 2014.
