Julio Cesar has responded to suggestions that Inter are pondering a bid for Udinese’s Samir Handanovic. “I’m staying.”

The Nerazzurri are apparently thinking about making a bid for the custodian, even though they already have the Brazilian as well as a 50 per cent share in Palermo’s Emiliano Viviano.

“I’m not leaving Inter,” the 32-year-old told the Corriere dello Sport. “I’m very happy in Milan and I have no intention of going anywhere.”

The Selecao shot-stopper was signed by Inter in January 2005 from Flamengo before immediately being loaned to Chievo.

He returned to San Siro six months later and eventually replaced Francesco Toldo as the first choice with the Beneamata.

Udinese insisted earlier today that they have no plans to sell their No 1.
