Zdenek Zeman is officially the new Roma Coach, with confirmation now arrived that he has signed a two-year deal with the Giallorossi.

The capital outfit have been in talks with the Prague-born tactician for the past week and a half and have now confirmed his widely-expected appointment from newly-promoted Pescara.

“Roma announces that it has signed with Zdenek Zeman an economic contract to become Head Coach of the first team,” read a statement released on Monday afternoon through Roma’s official website.

“The agreement, lasting two years, is effective from July 1, 2012 and expires on June 30, 2013, provides for the recognition of a wage in line with the benchmarks in the market.

“Mister Zeman will be supported for the duration of his office by assistant Coach Vincenzo Cangelosi, technical assistant Giacomo Modica and athletic trainer Roberto Ferola.”

It is a return to the club for Zeman, who previously coached the Lupi in the late 1990s. Zeman coached Pescara to the Serie B title last season.
