While Italian Cup winners Napoli have no problem with such a venue, the Italian champions would rather the tie be staged in their home stadium – as the rules also permit.
The Bianconeri’s concerns relate to the fact that their pre-season tour of America does not end until August 5 and they don’t want to then have to send their players to the Far East.
The Final, wherever it is staged, could in theory take place on August 11 or 18. Talks on the matter are set to continue.
