Former Roma President James Pallotta ‘agrees’ with a fan who said his biggest mistake was relying on director Monchi.

Pallotta sold the club in August 2020 to the Friedkin family, but continues to engage with Giallorossi supporters on Twitter.

Someone wrote to him today with this message: “Relying completely on Monchi was Pallotta’s biggest mistake.”

Pallotta replied: “I agree.”

Monchi was director of sport at Roma from April 2017 to April 2019, leaving two years into his four-year contract for a return to Sevilla.

The conversation continued with another fan asking why did he then “kick out” replacement Gianluca Petrachi.

“Ask Guido,” was the response, referring to CEO Guido Fienga.
