Aurelio De Laurentiis said it is “absolutely false” that Napoli want Torino striker Andrea Belotti, but they are targeting a goalkeeper.
He was live on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli and had another game of ‘True or False’ when responding to transfer rumours.
The first question was about reports the Partenopei are desperate to sign Torino hitman Belotti.

He was live on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli and had another game of ‘True or False’ when responding to transfer rumours.
The first question was about reports the Partenopei are desperate to sign Torino hitman Belotti.
“Absolutely false. I don’t adore Belotti, no offence, but we have a battery of strikers who are overflowing. I always said let’s allow the Coach to see their qualities before buying anyone else. There are simply too many.
“The fans want us to constantly buy players, but De Laurentiis has great respect for his collaborators and that includes the Coach. De Laurentiis at the age of 69 doesn’t need to perform a coup de theatre or prove anything to anyone.”
Roberto Inglese was loaned out to Parma today, but ADL assures that doesn’t mean a new forward will arrive in his place.
“Why sign someone to stop the others playing? We’ve got Simone Verdi, Dries Mertens, Arkadiusz Milik, Jose Callejon, Lorenzo Insigne.”
Will Napoli sign a third goalkeeper before the transfer window closes on Friday?
“I hope it is true. We are working very hard to ensure it happens.”
Options include Simon Mignolet of Liverpool and Standard Liege shot-stopper Guillermo Ochoa.
